MOST ACTIVE LEAGUES
Ranked by games two members actually played each other —
a box score behind it, and a person holding the controller on both sides.
A simmed game exports exactly like a played one; it does not count here.

WHAT COUNTS, AND WHY
Madden. A regular-season game with a final score,
in a week the league exported a box score for. The stats come out of the
companion app — nobody types them. A week of finished games with no stats
behind it is a week somebody advanced past, and it does not count here.
NBA 2K. A game with a confirmed box-score read. 2K has no export, so the evidence is the photograph: both halves filed, and normally filed by two different people, each shooting his own screen. Two independent readings of two different screens have to agree before the game is real — which is a harder thing to fake than an export.
A simmed week is not a played week. Madden exports stat rows for a game the CPU decided in four seconds exactly as it does for a game two men sat down and played, and nothing in the export tells them apart. So a game counts only when both teams have a human owner in the league. A thirty-two team franchise with nine members has twenty-three CPU teams, and a season simmed through them is hundreds of finished, exported, entirely unplayed games — none of which count. What survives is the games members actually played each other, which is also the number a recruit is asking about.
Preseason does not count, because it is free and infinite. Members do not count, because a roster of names is easy to gather. Posts, bets and chat do not count — those measure a chat room. This board measures games.
The last-30-days column is what does the ranking, so a league in its fourth season cannot sit on top forever on the strength of games played two years ago. Recomputed every ten minutes.
