▸ Playing a game (game? and the box score)

THE COURT → Home court, or the calendar. Any of your unplayed games can be played any night — press game? on one and the other owner gets it on his home court, on his phone if he turned notifications on, and in Discord if the league links the bot. He answers with one press. After the game, either side posts the post-game box score screenshot on the home court (or /box-2k in Discord); the other confirms, or files his own half — two halves from two people IS the confirmation. Nothing counts until both sides are in.

▸ The calendar, not weeks

A 2K league is a calendar. Nothing advances — every game has a date, the season is 82 (or whatever the commissioner chose), and two owners play whichever of their games they can both make tonight. The calendar shows who called what and what the other owner answered.

▸ Age resets and player value

If the commissioner turns on age resets in the 2K set-up, every player who has not used his one reset is valued as the 20-year-old he can become — a 37-year-old star who has not been reset is the most valuable kind. Once a reset is marked used on his card he is priced by his age. All-time players are ageless. The trade engine, Compare and Find a Player all read the same number.

▸ The Book — spreads, props and futures

THE BOOK. Spreads and totals on every game left on the calendar, by month; points, rebounds, assists and threes props on the men who play in them; and futures on the champion, the MVP race and the scoring title. Make a prop: pick a game in the month, a player from either side and a stat, and the book sets the number (his season average once he has two box scores filed, an opening line from his ratings before that). Everybody gets 100,000 to play with; tickets settle the moment a game is filed. No Discord involved.

▸ Shot charts and true shooting

Every player card shows TS% and eFG% from the box scores filed. Optional: after a game is filed, screenshot the post-game shot chart filtered to one player and upload it from his card — it is read into thirteen zones and the picture is dropped. His card then shows where he is hot and cold across every game charted.

▸ The badge book

THE COURT → The badge book. All 53 NBA 2K27 badges, what each does and how much it decides games (S, A, B), and which players in this league hold it at which tier. Badges are part of a player's trade value — an S badge at Hall of Fame is worth real money.

▸ The Rec, crews and the build lab

Your name → 🏀 The Rec. Register the build you paid for, make or join a crew with a code, ask who's on tonight, and file rec box scores. The build lab asks where you play — Pro-Am, Rec, Theater, Casual Corner, Park — and ranks meta 2K27 builds with the ratings that matter, the badges to target and the animations to chase.

▸ Do I need Discord?

No. Discord is your SIGN-IN and nothing else — it is the account the site uses to know who you are. Everything the league does runs here and on your phone: claiming a team, game times, the ping, trades, box scores, the sportsbook, game? in a 2K league. Turn on notifications (your name → Settings → Notifications) and your phone hears everything the bot would have said. The bot is optional: a league that links it gets the same cards and calls inside its server for the people who like Discord, and a league that never does misses nothing. If you can do it with a slash command, you can do it here with a button.

▸ The Trade Block

TEAMS → The Trade Block. Shelving a player tells the league you'll listen — it doesn't commit you to anything. Pick a player, write what you want back ("a 2nd and a young WR"), and set how badly you want him gone. The block does the reading for you too: FITS YOUR NEEDS shows only the listed players at positions where you're below league average AND who'd actually start over the guy you have there now. Listings come down BY THEMSELVES the moment a player changes teams, so the block never fills up with guys who were traded weeks ago.

▸ League chat

The blue 💬 button in the bottom-right corner, on every page. Tap it to open, tap the − to tuck it away — it remembers which way you left it. Paste a GIF, a Twitch or YouTube clip, or drag a video straight out of Discord and it plays right in the room. Want it as a window you can drag anywhere instead? Settings → League chat → Floating. Want it gone? Set it to Off.

▸ My Settings

LEAGUE → My Settings, or your name in the top-right. Turn the scrolling wire and other motion off, move the chat or hide it, switch tables to compact, and choose where the crest takes you. Settings follow your Discord account, so setting them on your laptop also sets them on your phone.

▸ Posting clips and videos

MY TEAM → post a clip, or drop a link in league chat. YouTube, Twitch (clips and VODs), Streamable and Medal play inline. The easiest one: right-click a video in your Discord server, copy the link, and paste it — it plays on the site with no upload and no account anywhere. GIFs work everywhere links do.

▸ Leaving a league (and your record)

Settings → Leaving the league. Say why and your team opens back up right away. This matters: commissioners can see how many leagues you're in and how your last exits went, and leaving properly reads completely differently from disappearing. Admins can tag members too — good tags stay forever, bad ones EXPIRE on a clock (90 days for slow play, a year for nuking a roster), because one bad month shouldn't follow anybody around. Nothing is ever automatic: repeat serious tags across leagues just open a case a person actually reads.

▸ League directory & recruiting

LEAGUE → League Directory lists every league on SapphireSportz that's recruiting, with platform, style, how often they advance and how many spots are open. Commissioners turn their own listing on under Admin → Members & Reputation — keep it honest and switch it off when you're full.

▸ Claiming your team

Type /link in Discord with your team's name (e.g. /link team: Browns), or open MY TEAM on the site and tap your team in the claim grid. That connects your Discord account to your franchise — trades, scheduling, and the advisor all unlock. Picked wrong? An admin can reassign you from the Admin Center.

▸ Cash vs Bank (why can't I bet?)

You have two pools of money: CASH (spending money — bets, casino, store) and the BANK (the vault). If a bet says you're short, your money is probably in the bank — go to ECONOMY, type an amount (500k, 2m, all, half) and tap Withdraw. Moves are applied by the bot within ~2 minutes, and betting always checks your REAL balance, so don't panic if a number on screen looks a minute stale.

▸ Betting at The Book

FANTASY → The Book. Game cards carry the MONEY LINE (pick who wins), the SPREAD (pick a team to cover) and the TOTAL (over/under combined points); player cards are MORE/LESS on a stat. Tap one pick for a straight bet or two to six for a parlay, open the bet slip at the bottom, enter your stake, and Lock it in. Each ticket then pins to the top of The Book so you can track every leg, and you can lock as many as you like.

▸ More than one ticket, and cancelling one

Every time you lock in you get a new ticket — one leg is a straight bet, two to six a parlay — and you can hold as many as your cash covers. Adding a ticket never costs a fee. Cancelling one gives back your stake minus the cancel fee (a quarter, or half once one of its games is being played) and leaves your other tickets alone. A ticket with a leg already graded can't be cancelled.

▸ What does this site actually do?

The FEATURES page — /features, or ✨ Everything it does in the league menu. Every section of the site with a line on what it is for, plus WHAT'S NEW, which is the plain-English list of what changed and when. A release marked MAJOR raises a bar at the top of the site once, and only once. It also has the app-updating steps for iPhone and Android — pages always come fresh off the server, so the only thing that can lag is the app's own scripts, and one full close-and-reopen fixes it. On iPhone that means swiping the card away in the app switcher, not just pressing the side button.

▸ The Casino

ECONOMY → The Casino. Sapphire Spins (💎💎💎 pays 25×), Roulette (numbers 35:1, colors 1:1, dozens 2:1), and full Blackjack (hit/stand/double, blackjack pays 3:2). You play with cash; stakes flow into the World Bank and wins flow back out, settled by the bot within ~2 minutes. In debt? Tables are closed until you work it off.

▸ Work, Crime & High Roll (the hustle)

The bottom of the Casino page. WORK always pays ($50k–$200k, 15-min cooldown). CRIME pays $250k–$1M but fails 40% of the time with a fine. HIGH ROLL pays up to $2M with slightly worse odds. Cooldowns are shared with Discord — no double-dipping between the site and the bot.

▸ The Item Store

FANTASY → Item Store. Tap Buy on any item — it checks your real cash, stock, and per-person limits, then lands in your inventory. Purchases go through the bot within ~2 minutes. Your items show on your Fantasy Squad page and the Economy page.

▸ Setting your fantasy lineup

FANTASY → My Squad. Pick a player for each slot from the dropdowns and tap Save lineup. Same rules as Discord: players whose games already played are locked. Changes apply within ~2 minutes.

▸ Trades

TEAMS → Trade Center to build an offer (the calculator prices every player and pick — deals within the fairness band say FAIR). The other owner accepts, then it's approved by the commish or by league vote, depending on your league's setting. The Front Office Advisor on MY TEAM suggests fair deals that fill both teams' needs.

▸ Levels & Prestige

ECONOMY → The Ladder. You earn XP from real wins, fantasy wins, sharp betting, and being active (posts, votes, scheduling, casino). At level 20 you can PRESTIGE — your level resets, you keep a permanent ⭐, and deep analysis unlocks (the Prestige Edge on props, fit intel on draft boards). Admins can award bonus XP for community challenges.

▸ Posting clips & trash talk

MY TEAM → POST TO THE LEAGUE. Drop a clip link (YouTube and Twitch play right on the site), a recap, or a status. Posts land on the League Wire and your team page; everyone can comment with GIFs and links.

▸ Player photos & missing faces

Photos come from EA's official ratings database. Admins: Admin Center → PLAYER PHOTOS → one button fetches every missing face (rookies included). A few players EA doesn't publish will stay blank — the panel lists exactly who.

▸ Installing the site as an app

On your phone, open the site in your browser → Share → Add to Home Screen. You get a full-screen app with the league crest icon. Everything works the same, just faster to reach.

▸ The walkthrough tour

Tap 🧭 Tour in the top bar on any page for a step-by-step spotlight walkthrough of that page. It's built for people who don't live on websites — big text, one thing at a time.

▸ The Booth (who writes your recaps)

LEAGUE → 🎙️ The Booth. Your league has a cast of writers, and every game that goes final gets handed to one of them — never the same one twice in a row. They have habits: the numbers guy builds the story round efficiency, the shouter thinks every game is the biggest of the year, and the analyst stops and explains what a rating actually means. They only ever write from the box score your league uploaded — none of them can quote anybody or report anything that did not happen. Admins hire, retire and rewrite the cast under ADMIN → The Booth, and can hear any of them call last game before keeping them.

▸ League polls and their results

LEAGUE → 🗳️ League Polls, or /polls in Discord to vote right in the chat. One vote each, and you can change your mind while the poll is open. You cannot see the counts on an open poll until you have voted — seeing the board first is how a vote turns into a bandwagon. When a commissioner closes one the final count posts to Discord and stays on the page for good, so "what did we decide about that" has an answer somewhere other than somebody's memory. A tie is reported as a tie.

▸ The Daily Spin (free, once a day)

LEAGUE → 🎡 The Daily Spin, or /spin in Discord. One free spin a day for being in the league. NOTHING IS STAKED — you cannot bet on it, cannot buy another go, and cannot spend anything to change the odds; the Casino is where you wager and this is not that. Every prize shows its real chance beside it, printed from the same list the spin reads. Coins land in Discord within a couple of minutes, XP goes straight onto the ladder, and sometimes you get nothing, which is what makes the jackpot worth anything.

▸ Messaging another owner

LEAGUE → 🙋 Roll Call, then 💬 Message beside anybody's name — or ✉️ Messages from your account menu. You can only message people from leagues you share, and blocking somebody stops it in both directions.

▸ The Newsroom

LEAGUE → 📰 Newsroom. Longer than a wire post: signings, press conferences, feuds, outright lies. Anybody in the league can write one, add an image or a clip, and push it to Discord at the same time so people actually see it. Unlike Discord scrollback, it survives.

▸ The playoff picture

LEAGUE → Playoff Picture. Who is in, who is out, and who is on the bubble, with the seeding as it stands. Once the bracket exists it draws itself from the schedule.

▸ Comparing two players

STATS → Compare Players. Two players side by side — ratings, production, trade value and age. The fastest way to settle whether a trade is close before you build it in the Trade Center.

▸ RedZone — the week in clips

LEAGUE → 🏈 RedZone. Everything the league clipped this week in one place. Post yours from MY TEAM or by dropping a link in league chat, and it lands here too.
