Jaguars win the turnover battle and the game

Take care of the football or lose. Panthers did not, and did. Dante Moore threw for Jaguars — 24/41, 234 yards, 2 TD. Bryce Young threw for Panthers — 19/31, 226 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT — in a losing effort. Kewan Lacy has not had a better afternoon this season. Total yards: Jaguars 401, Panthers 244.

Jaguars +2.7 -4.0 +6.7 +7
Panthers -10.9 -2.6 -8.3 -6
SRS is how many points a side beats an average team by once you account for who they played — beat a good team by 3 and it counts for more than beating a bad one by 20. SOS is how hard that schedule has been. Full table.

Hollis Vaughn The superfan
Carolina managed 18 rushing yards against Jacksonville's defense and that is not a bad game, that is a statement: the Panthers cannot run the football, period. When you cannot move it on the ground and your passing game is drying up—Moore's down to 144 a game over his last three—you are just asking defenses to pin their ears back, and Jacksonville did exactly that in a 26-14 win that felt less competitive than the scoreboard.
Caleb Brooks Beat reporter · replying
Jacksonville is going to the playoffs as a 5-seed and has room to breathe; Carolina at 2-9 just handed the ball away twice and has no ground game to lean on when it matters, which means they're headed somewhere darker than just missing the dance.
They only ever read the box score and this league's own numbers — none of them has a source, and none of them can report anything that did not happen.

Bold is the side that won that line. Giveaways come off a team's own offensive rows and takeaways off its own defensive rows — two separate payloads, so they need not tie out against each other.
