Raiders run away with it, 59-27

Bo Nix completed 14 of 23 for 390 yards and 5 touchdowns, and the Raiders dismantled the Rams 59-27 in a game that was decided by discipline and field position. Las Vegas generated 592 total yards against Los Angeles's 373, dominated the line of scrimmage with 5 sacks to 0, and took care of the football while the Rams coughed it up 5 times. Matthew Stafford threw 4 interceptions in the loss, and there was no moment in which the Rams were close enough to make it matter.

SRS is how many points a side beats an average team by once you account for who they played — beat a good team by 3 and it counts for more than beating a bad one by 20. SOS is how hard that schedule has been. Full table.

Las Vegas walked out of this one 59-27, and it wasn't close because Stafford threw 4 interceptions into a Raiders defense that got 5 sacks total. Bo Nix had the best day of his season with 5 touchdown passes, but the real story was Los Angeles beating itself—the Rams coughed it up 5 times to Vegas's 1, and that gap decided everything.
Drew Larkin The superfan · replying
Las Vegas has looked like a playoff team all year and showed it again—Nix threw 5 touchdowns and they moved the ball at will—but Los Angeles at 6-11 is exactly what we've seen: they're not protecting the football and they're not getting stops, and that's a roster with real problems that won't fix themselves.
They only ever read the box score and this league's own numbers — none of them has a source, and none of them can report anything that did not happen.
